WCEPVi launches a call for help for a nature conservation project.

 This microproject contributes to the reduction of wood needs, the deforestation of the Park by the riparian population and the reduction of global warming by the reduction of greenhouse gases. it may concern the Localities around the South Sector Park: Bisoko, Mugwata, Kigarama, Nyamagana and Mugora for a period from March 7th to June 5th, 2020
Landscaping

Thet preparation of the ground will be realized in the locality of Kigarama in the group of Rugari, sector mikeno of the Virunga National Park. A field will be available in the entity. it will also be available all the fertilizers and organic fertilizers useful for seedling growth.

the beneficiaries will be households and associations having fields in the targeted localities surrounding the virunga National Park, they will be registered on lists that will identify them at the level of their villages, localities and heads of ten houses.

This project is feasible because the target population is ready to support and participate fairly in achieving the objectives.


This project is relevant because it responds to the greatest need felt by the local population and that of the entire world.

-The households and local associations with fields around the Virunga National Park will be beneficiaries; at first it will be question of the 1665 seedlings by locality.
- 45 households will have a member who will introduce them to the methods and techniques of seedling maintenance;
- Other locations far from the project will be impacted by Project Multipliers and will be Indirect beneficiaries. household members and neighbors will be assigned occupations. The target localities are all almost surrounded by the Nyamulagira and Mikeno sectors of the Virunga National Park. She will find great satisfaction from one or the other microproject organization.

- The micro-project will have a positive impact on the reduction of wood needs, the deforestation of the Park by the riparian population and the reduction of global warming by the reduction of greenhouse gases. and this is consistent with the commitment of the target population, knowing that Reforestation reduces threats to Virunga National Park.
- The microproject has an environmental and economic potential because it aims at the protection of the environment and consequently the reduction of wood needs, the deforestation of the Park by the riparian population and the reduction of the climatic by the reduction of greenhouse gas. greenhouse.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE MICROPROJECT

The eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo is an area hit by recurrent conflicts for several years. these conflicts not only caused the loss of human lives but also affected the environment leading the local population to deforestation and poaching of Virunga National Park. to overcome this problematic, the organizationt tWCEP / Virunga has indeed decided to undertake a micro-project entitled "micro project for the construction of a seedling nursery for the associations of the buffer zone and support to the population" National Park's Riveravirunga ".as for the management of the microproject, the structure is as follows:
- A supervisor ;
- a trainer;
- An agronomist;
- A Rural Development Technician;
the management will be transparent because the purchase of materials and supplies, the pay of the labor and the other expenses will be recorded in the cash book on the basis of the vouchers. All parties involved have qualities required to conduct the microproject well.

- Reduce the wood needs and deforestation of the Park by the local population.
- Reduce global warming by reducing greenhouse gases.

- introduce the local population to the protection of the environment (fauna and flora) while reducing the need for firewood, deforestation of the Park by the riparian population and global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
